2010 Bulldog Mascot For Lacrosse World Lacrosse

The mascot for the 2010 World Lacrosse Championships has been chosen by just short of 2000 fans voting. The winning animal, a Bulldog beat a Rhino to the top spot and will be the official mascot.

Voter Clare Ghey was chosen at random and won a Season Ticket to the Championships, worth £150, which allows them entry to watch all 200+ games being held at the University of Manchester Armitage Centre this July including the final.

The poll will be conducted on the 2010 World Lacrosse Championships' fanpage on facebook.

The vote will be open until Monday 1st February and another season ticket allowing entry to watch all the games, worth £150, is being offered as a prize to a randomly selected voter.

David Shuttleworth, English Lacrosse Association CEO said, "The response we received was fantastic, so many people answered our call to be a part of it, which helps us to deliver a better World Championship experience to fans. The competition attracted a wider audience and brought to their attention that this year's World Lacrosse Championships are going to be the biggest yet."
