England should absolutely be scared
"England should absolutely be scared" says Scotland Coach Keith Robertson
Tomorrow England will take on Scotland at the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in the fight for the right to be placed 5th in the FIL world rankings.
This match is already steeped in historical rivalry, with the Scottish team even referring to the English side as "the old enemy". Obviously in sporting terms this rivalry is even more prominent, even if generally one sided. However the fixture does not fit that formula as both teams are wise to the fact that this could be their final opportunity to stay in the running for a top 5 world ranking.
Scotland are stronger than ever, with 5 wins and 1 loss to their record. This dare-to-be-great situation could crown them as the most successful Scottish teams of all time, with the win seeing them overtake England in the world rankings.
The Scottish coach, Keith Robertson has said, "They should absolutely be scared. We took a 10-2 deficit against Australia back to 11-9 in one quarter, Australia were a top 3 finish in 2006, they should absolutely be worried."
Scottish captain, Callum Watson followed this by saying, "the old enemy England are a notch to take down, and they have been for years."
The England team; bitterly disappointed with their performance this tournament, refuse to settle for another loss. Their egos have taken a kicking, missing out on a quarter final place on goal difference to the Japanese.
