Scots don't worry the English
England faced off against Scotland today in the 2010 World Lacrosse Championships the outcome of which had their World rankings at stake.
Coming into the game with an impressive record in the Championships, Scotland, with 5 wins and 1 loss, were looking for a major upset and get above England in the rankings for the first time ever.
However, Scotland's good form and confidence was brought to an end with England showing their quality throughout the game, winning 23-9.
England coach, Ravi Sitlani said, "We weren’t worried about them, we proved the difference between the two teams; Scotland being in a lower division and us being in the blue division, and we should be in the top end of the blue division."
On the pitch, England never showed any nerves, and battled bravely against a Scottish side who were fired up against their long-time rivals.
England now play Germany for the 5th and 6th places and corresponding World rankings on Saturday morning at 10am. The German team were promoted and played the Iroquois team fixtures in the top division which started with an opening loss to the English team 12 - 3.
